In medium saucepan set over medium heat, bring water to boil. Stir in milk and cream; return to boil. Stir in rice, sugar, vanilla, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, turmeric and salt.
Reduce heat to low. Cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 25 to 30 minutes or until rice is very tender and liquid is very thick and creamy.
Divide rice pudding among 6 serving dishes.
Just before serving, top with figs, pear slices, walnuts and ginger. Drizzle with honey. Serve warm.
Tip: Substitute dried figs for freshly chopped figs, if desired, and garnish with fresh raspberries too.
